Pinewood Holds Annual Grandparent’s Day
By Gracie Hodges, PCA sophomore
On March 8th, Pinewood Christian Academy celebrated Grandparent’s Day with their annual musical performance and art show. Grades K4 through 5th participated in the singing while their grandparents and parents happily watched them! Led by music teacher Mrs. Miriam Usry, the students performed songs such as “This is Amazing Grace” and “All The People Say Amen.” The families then enjoyed snacks and viewed the children’s art projects in the lower school gym they had created in Mrs. Mondi Gagliardo’s art classroom throughout the year. Grandparents also had the opportunity to have pictures taken with their grandchildren by the school photographer, Mr. William Hutcheson. Along with the art gallery, the families also visited the Book Fair in the library, as well as the students’ classrooms. The celebration ended on a cheerful note with everyone looking forward to next year’s show.
