Saturday, November 18, 2017, Pinewood Christian Academy’s JV Cheer team traveled to Trinity Christian School to compete in the GISA Middle School End of Season Invitational. The JV cheerleaders competed against St. Luke, John Milledge, Briarwood, Gatewood, Robert Toombs, Bulloch, Trinity(Dublin), and Brentwood. PCA’s squad earned 2nd place with St. Luke taking 1st. The JV girls performed amazingly and has had a great competition season. JV cheer coach, Alexis Smith, reflected on the team’s season, “One quote that comes to mind is “hard work pays off.” The girls started working in June and improved tremendously throughout the year. These girls were filled with pure determination to reach the goals they had set for themselves. One thing that stood out to me about this team is the way they not only worked hard for themselves but worked hard for the girl standing next to them. These girls were able to overcome any obstacles that were thrown their way and adapted to the many changes that we had to make. I could not be more proud of this amazing team. Hard work really does pay off!”
