PCA students learn about fire safety

On October 15th, Pinewood’s K3 through 3rd grade students were given the chance to meet with firefighters to see their fire trucks and learn about fire safety. Students spent the week learning about what to do in a situation where there is a dangerous fire as well as ways to prevent one. The Claxton Fire Department came to the school and delighted students with siren and light displays and showed off their equipment. Students also got the chance to spray the fire hose! When asked about his favorite part, Knox Blocker (K-4), shared, “I liked the water cannons! They shot up high!” Together, these students learned how be safe while having fun!
