By: Milligan Williams, junior
The annual Claxton-Evans County Chamber of Commerce Banquet was held Thursday evening, January 26, at the Evans County Wildlife Club. Evans County awarded its exceptional citizens and businesses who have greatly impacted the community’s success, including 2016 outstanding Junior Chamber of Commerce Board members, Pinewood seniors Madolyn Hendrix and Nicholas Hart.
Started in 2005, “The Junior Board of Directors participates in community activities throughout the year and receives leadership development training and hands-on experience dealing with issues and challenges that face our community.” Members are nominated and selected by application, and the board is led by the executive director of the Claxton-Evans County Chamber of Commerce, Tammi Rogers Hall.
Madolyn Hendrix serves as the board’s 2016-17 secretary, and Nicholas Hart is the 2016-17 president. They have given their time, talent, and best effort in community projects humbly and selflessly, and they well deserved this award. Congratulations to Madolyn and Nicholas! Keep up the good work!
