PCA Sophomores Host Annual Valentine’s Fundraiser

By: Brayden Gravley, PCA sophomore

Every year, sophomores at Pinewood Christian Academy sponsor a Valentine’s Day fundraiser. This annual fundraiser allows students to buy carnations for their friends, teachers, and the ones they love. These red, white, and pink flowers have always been a Pinewood tradition but, just last year, students were allowed to send Starburst and Hershey Kiss candy grams along with their carnations. This event is a fun way for students to show love for their friends, family, teachers, and even those they secretly admire. “The class of 2021 has learned that it’s not all about how many flowers or bags of candy you get; it’s about coming together as a class and learning to spread the love and joy of Valentine’s Day,” sophomore MiKaley Durrence shares. Valentine’s Day is a celebration of love, and the PCA sophomores put a lot of love and hard work into sorting these special deliveries for the rest of the students and faculty to enjoy.
