PCA K3 Class Dress As Indians for Thanksgiving
On Friday, November 20, the Pinewood Christian Academy K3 class dressed as Indians to celebrate and learn more about Thanksgiving. During the week, Mrs. April Williams and Mrs. Sarah Nicholson cut pillow cases to make Indian vests for the boys and dresses for the girls. Each student then picked names to write on their outfits, along with designs that matched their chosen name. Then, each student colored in their favorite designs and tied on their headdress to parade about the school campus in Indian fashion. For the rest of the day, Miss April and Miss Sarah called the students only by their Indian names, and before the students left, they taught a lesson on the meaning of Thanksgiving.
