PCA Holds 7th Annual Fund Dinner
By Sydney Strickland, PCA junior
Pinewood Christian Academy (PCA) held its 7th Annual Fund banquet in the Eddie Durrence Gymnasium on March 28th. Guests were served a wonderful dinner catered by Rusty Pig and served by students in PCA’s Interact Club.
The keynote speaker for the evening was an inaugural member of the PCA Board of Governors, Dr. Harold Kemp of Claxton. Kemp spoke about the early formation of Pinewood and how the establishment of the school went from a simple concept to reality. Kemp also recognized three other inaugural members of the Board of Governors who were in attendance that evening: Bill Hearn, Jimmy Rogers, and Tab Smith. PCA alumnus Dylan Mulligan, class of 2011, of Glennville also spoke at the dinner about what Pinewood has meant to him over the years since he graduated. He reflected on how the curriculum and rigor of Pinewood had prepared him for college and a successful career in law school. Mulligan now works alongside Judge Hugh McCullough at his law office in Glennville.
PCA would like to thank all who were involved with another successful Annual Fund Banquet.
