PCA Cheerleaders Place in Competitions
The Pinewood Christian Academy (PCA) cheerleaders traveled to Brentwood on November 7, 2015, for their fifth competition of the season. Pinewood’s JV squad placed second of five teams. The JV squad scored 266.75. Gatewood won first place with a score of 279.25. John Milledge Academy who had a score of 238 placed third. Bulloch was fourth, having a score of 227. Fifth place was given to Briarwood who had a score of 223.75. The Varsity squad placed third of eight teams with a score of 309.5. First place was awarded to John Milledge who had a score of 338.25. Briarwood was second having a score of 334.5. Pinewood was third. Piedmont was fourth and had a score of 293. Fifth place was given to Trinity who had a score of 286.5. Bulloch was sixth having a score of 280.5. Seventh place was Gatewood who had a score of 274.75. Bethlehem was eighth and had a score of 255.75.
On Saturday, November 14, 2015, the cheerleaders traveled to Briarwood Academy for a Cheer fest Competition, and both Varsity and JV brought back the first place trophy. The Varsity squad competed against eight cheerleading squads, and Varsity earned the winning score of 308. Second place was Trinity; third was Bulloch; fourth was Loganville; fifth Piedmont; sixth was Brentwood; seventh was Gatewood; and eighth was Bethlehem. Pinewood’s JV team competed against four teams and earned the winning score of 292.5. Second place was Loganville; Bulloch was third; and fourth place was given to Gatewood.
On Wednesday, November 18, 2015, the JV cheerleaders traveled to Brentwood for their State Competition. The girls did an excellent job, and were named third. The Varsity girls will travel to Milledgeville, Saturday, November 21, for their State competition.
On Saturday, November 21, 2015, Pinewood’s Varsity cheerleaders traveled to Milledgeville for their State Competition, and they were given the third place title. John Milledge was named first, and Briarwood was awarded second place.
