PCA Adds New Playground Equipment for the Lower School Building

Over the years, Pinewood Christian Academy has had many new additions and improvements made to the school, but its latest attraction is definitely the most joyful and entertaining of them all. PCA showed off their patriot pride by introducing brand new, orange and green playground equipment for the K3-3rd grade building to its students to replace older playground equipment. When asked whose idea was it to build the new playground, Mr. L. W. Bush, director of the Alumni Affairs, said that the new playground was a “need” for the school. Other PCA staff, including teachers and himself, were concerned for the safety of the children because the previous playground equipment was so old and worn out. He also explained that the idea of a new playground was thrown around for several years but was strong in the last two or three.
With the help of fundraisers, patrons, and PCA alumni through the Annual Fund, the PCA playground began its construction in June of 2017 and ended on September 24. “I just hope they’ll thoroughly enjoy playing on it,” replied Mr. Bush when inquired about how he wanted the children to react to the new playground. Mr. Bush’s wish has certainly come true. Every day, students play happily on the orange and green playground loving everything about it, and will continue to play for years to come.
