PCA 4-H Students advance to State DPA Competition
Every year, Georgia 4-H hosts its annual Southeastern District Project Achievement event at Rock Eagle 4-H center in Eatonton, Georgia. Each county brings 4-Hers to participate in various events. 4-Hers pick an event that showcases their talents or hobbies. Three Pinewood students in the Evans County 4-H who participated in DPA are advancing to the Georgia 4-H State Competition in July.
Jacob Myers placed first in the Senior division for Computers and Information Technology. Payton Haddon received second place in the Senior division for Human Development. Miranda DeLoach placed second in the Senior division for Public Speaking. Both Payton and Miranda were offered a sweepstakes to attend the Georgia 4-H State Competition in Atlanta. The sweepstakes is given to second place winners when there are eight or more competitors in a certain project area. They will also attend the State Competition. Nola Rushing placed third for Performing Arts- Piano. Logan Haddon and Landon Walker were also honored with Honorable Mentions in the Senior division.
We would like to congratulate these students on a job well done and wish them good luck in the State Competition!
