Lady Patriot Track Team Wins Region

Our Patriot track and field teams competed in the 2-AAA region meet on the 18^th at Georgia Southern University. The first place finishers in their events included:

Shelton Rogers: 100 meter dash (12.94 seconds), 400 meter dash (60.76 seconds), long jump (16’6.75”)

Presley Godbee: 200 meter dash (27.79 seconds)

Haley Thompson: 300 meter hurdles (49.85 seconds)

Meghan Boatright: Discus (105 feet)

Jordan Jernigan: Triple Jump (31’7.5”)

Ally McCall, Shelby Dollar, Presley Godbee, and Shelton Rogers: 4×100 meter relay (52.61 seconds)

Madi Shaffer, Sarah Whiten, Haley Thompson, and Shelton Rogers: 4×400 meter relay (4 minutes and 29 seconds)

Lake Dasher: long jump (18’8.5”)

In addition to the first place finishers, athletes who placed in the top 4 of their events will compete in the state meet held in Albany at Hugh Mills Stadium. These athletes and their events are:

Alyssa Dollar, Jena Bradley, Anna Kate Dutton, and Carson Rountree: 3^rd in 4×100 meter relay (54.76 seconds)

Carsen Kennedy, Shelby Dollar, Alyssa Dollar, and Presley Godbee: 4^th in 4×400 meter relay (4 minutes and 49 seconds)

Ally McCall: 2^nd in Triple Jump (30’3.5”)

Meghan Boatright: 2^nd in Shot Put (34’)

Ansley Howard: 3^rd in Shot Put (29’7”)

Lilly Dasher: 2^nd Pole Vault (7’)

Haley Thompson: 2^nd in 100 meter hurdles (17.17 seconds), 2^nd in high jump (4’11”)

Jordan Jernigan: 4^th in long jump (15’)

Madison Shaffer: 4^th in 400 meter dash (67.62 seconds)

Presley Godbee: 3^rd in 100 meter dash (13.65 seconds)

Emily Griffin: 3^rd in 1600 meter run (6 minutes and 34 seconds)

Matalie Miles: 4^th in 3200 meter run (14 minutes and 44 seconds)

Brantley Swindell: 4^th in 3200 meter run (12 minutes and 2 seconds)

Caleb Hodges: 3^rd in 300 meter hurdles (46.24 seconds), 2^nd in high jump (5’11”), 3^rd in triple jump (39’10”)

Caleb Conley: 4^th in 100 meter dash (11.8 seconds), 2^nd in 110 meter hurdles (16.56 seconds)

Lake Dasher: 2^nd in Pole Vault (11’6”)

Jade Bradley: 3^rd in high jump (5’10”), 2^nd in long jump (18’8”)

Joseph MacGregor: 4^th in discus (108’4”)

Shelton Rogers won the girls’ High Point award by scoring the most points with a total of 35 points. The Lady Patriots also claimed the title of region champions for the first time since 2004.
