First Graders Celebrate 100th Day of School
On Wednesday, February 1, the Pinewood first grade classes celebrated the 100th day of school. The children participated in many activities to honor this special day. To begin the day, each child brought in 100 pieces of cereal and ate breakfast together. After breakfast, they also made caterpillar hats with 10 circles to represent the multiples of 10. For the last activity of the day, the children were given 10 different types of snacks to group into tens, and then mixed all the snacks together to make “100 day trail mix”. The first grade teacher aid, Ms. Kim, shared that the children always enjoy this day and the fun filled activities that come along with it.
