December Mission Project, the Baxley Children’s Home
Throughout December, Pinewood is working together with the Baxley Children’s Home to bring a special Christmas to the kids that live there. The Baxley Children’s Home is an organization with the Georgia Baptist Children’s Homes and Family Ministries. These ministries provide residential care for troubled children, youth, and families. Christian centered programs on three campuses, located in Baxley, Meansville, and Palmetto, work together to meet the basic physical needs of the children, as well as assists them in personal development and spiritual growth.
Each PCA student is encouraged to share their blessings by bringing in a donation for White Christmas Chapel and place it under the Christmas tree. There are roughly 40 students at the Baxley Children’s home. Each grade is assigned a different gender and age group to buy small gifts for the children to receive for Christmas. Make sure to check with your child on which children they are assigned to bring gifts for. A note was sent home with your child(ren) with more information specific to your child’s homeroom donation requests.
Patrons are welcome to attend our White Christmas Chapel which will be held on Wednesday, December 21st in the gym at 10:45.
