Christmas Around the World

This upcoming Christmas holiday, Mrs. Lindsey Blocker’s 5th and 6th grade history classes learned about how other countries throughout the world celebrate Christmas. To further their knowledge on the topic, students were given a fun and creative project focused on the subject of different Christmas holiday traditions.
Students were given the opportunity to choose a country and list up to seven facts about how the country they chose celebrated Christmas. The students were required to visually represent the country, such as by a PowerPoint or poster, and include pictures and their seven facts about the country’s traditions. In addition, students also brought a traditional dish the country usually eats during Christmas time. The students enjoyed presenting their creative projects and sharing other cultures holiday traditions.
