Pinewood’s National Honors Society is on the Road
Pinewood Christian Academy (PCA) has an excellent National Honors Society (NHS). The National Honors Society at PCA is a group of students who are recognized for outstanding grades and demonstration of greatness in areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character. The NHS helps with community service and also help students and adults around school and surrounding areas with challenges or academics in daily life. These projects help to meet the service hour requirement of 25 hours per school year.
PCA celebrates these students each year during a special chapel service held on campus. This year’s ceremony was held on October 21, 2015 in the Eddie Durrence gymnasium followed by a reception catered by PCA home ec class. Along with recognition, the students received a certificate accompanied by a pin. The PCA students involved in the NHS are looking forward to a successful year.
