PCA Wins GISA AAA Literary Competition

On March 11th, 2016, Pinewood Christian Academy’s Literary team competed at Brewton Parker College in the GISA Region 2AAA Literary Contest. Allyson Dillard placed first in Girls’ Solo; Sam Hobbs placed second in Boys’ Solo; Raeleigh Swindell, Tarah Thompson, and Milligan Williams placed first in Trio; Miranda DeLoach placed first in National Extemporaneous Speaking; Connor O’Sullivan placed second in International Extemporaneous Speaking; Miranda DeLoach placed fourth in Argumentative Essay; Allyson Dillard placed third in Rhetorical Essay; EmmaLeigh Skinner placed fourth in Personal Essay; Payton Haddon placed third in Dramatic Oral Interpretation; Elizabeth McCooey and Joshua Murray placed third in Duo Oral Interpretation; Britton Waters placed third in Spelling.
Seven of these Region winners who placed first or second progressed to the State level of competition held at Valdosta State University on March 15. The Trio finished as first place winners for the GISA AAA State Competition.
